Holly Shaw

1Dance Company alumni Holly Shaw has launched the video blog project “365 Dances”.  She will making weekly posts including videos of some of these dances and writing on dance topics! Holly looked forward to this challenge that she equates with running a marathon, which helped to inspire the concept.  She is also excited about working with dance friends as well as new artists on this project.  Visit her blog today to check it out!

Holly was a student of The Dance Company and member of the original Indianapolis Children’s Dance League (the former name of the Elite Ensemble Performance Company).  Her passion for dance has taken her to the San Francisco Bay Area where she is a dancer and choreographer, performing as a soloist with Yaelisa Caminos Flamencos for several years.  Shaw is  the creator of the Eve’s Elixer project, a platform for artists of contemporary world dance wanting to bring new ideas to traditional dance forms, and she has produced several shows in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Her flow between contemporary modern dance, flamenco and Middle-Eastern styles makes her a unique choreographer.  Shaw has spent years training Bay Area dancers in technique and improvisation, challenging them to dance from a deeper level and uncover their unique style.  Check out more about this fantastic artist at www.hollyshaw.net.
